EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020-2023)

The Jean Monnet Chair «EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society» is headed by Professor Leonid Melnyk at Sumy State University since September 2020. The responsible teachers from Sumy State University are Iryna Dehtyarova, Oleksandr Kubatko,  Bohdan Kovalov, Olena Shkarupa, Yurii Derevianko, Oleksandr Matsenko.
The knowledge accumulated in EU with respect to the Fourth and Fifth industrial revolution (Industries 4.0 and 5.0) creates new opportunities and offer creative solutions for achieving the goals of Sustainable development. However, to communicate those solutions to the wider audience and the key decision makers, it is crucial to involve universities in Ukraine and EU.
The main target groups of this Chair are University students from several domains (aka. “specialties” in Ukraine): “Economics”, “Management”, “Social communications”, “Ecology”, “Engineers”, “Environmental Economics”, “Computer science”, “Journalism”, “Advertisement and Public relations”.
Within this Chair the following is expected: a) Development of the teaching materials for the above six courses; b) Establishment of the corresponding 6 open on-line versions of the courses with video-lectures; c) Publication of books on applicability of EU experience of Sustainable Development issues to Ukraine.
