The Jean Monnet Chair « EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0» is headed by Professor Leonid Melnyk at Sumy State University since November 2020. The primary planned and actual networking Universities were placed Kharkov National Economic University, Odessa National Ecological University, Poltava National Technic University, National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv. The additional lecturing was provided for the Riga Technical University, Kharkiv National University of Municipal Economy (KNUME) named Oleksiy Beketov, Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA), Sumy National Agrarian University, Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University, Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazina, Kherson National Technical University, Polissya National University (PNU), Ivan Franko National University, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Cherkasy National University, Kyiv national University named after T. Shevchenko.

  • a complex of scientific works and training programs was completed to fill the content of the department from the direction: “Legislative, economic and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society within the framework of industries 4.0 and 5.0”. The execution of the works necessitated the conduct of scientific research related to the analysis of such new concepts as “digital transformations”, “additive economy”, “sustainability of economic systems”, “breakthrough technologies”.

The results of scientific works were published in more than 74 scientific and educational publications.
