The 62nd International Scientific Conference on Economics and Entrepreneurship (SCEE’2021) took place on October 14-15 at Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia) in an online format. Doctor of Economics, Professor Leonid Melnyk, Doctor of Economics, Professor Oleksandr Kubatko, and student Vladyslav Piven presented a report “Renewable Energy Promotion with Economic Incentives: A Case of the EU”, which addressed topical issues of transition to renewable energy sources in the European Union. The report sparked lively discussions among the conference participants. The paper also took into account the results of EU research and educational project of Jean Monnet (a chair level), which are currently being implemented at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration: Jean Monnet «EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society» (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).
