Lectures by Professor L. Hens

During November-December 2020, Professor Luc Hens has provided a series of lectures and trainings for PhD students and teachers of SSU on “Writing and publishing scientific papers”. Professor Luc Hens is an expert in Health and Environment Services, Training and Consultancy “VOF” (Belgium). He is the Editor in Chief for the Springer journal “Environment, Development and Sustainability” (Netherlands). Luc Hens acts as the book editor for the “International Journal of Environment and Pollution”. He holds “Doctor Honoris Causa” awards from the universities of Sofia (Bulgaria) and Sumy (Ukraine). During the meetings, considerable attention was paid to the issues and opportunities of academic integrity, networking within EU, and organization of the process of preparing articles for publication in international journals, in particular in EU publishing houses.

The lectures provoked lively discussion and debates. Organization of a meeting with prof. L. Hens became possible within two grants from Jean Monnet (Chair level), which are currently being implemented at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, “Legislative, Environmental and Social Transition of the EU to Sustainable Society within Industries 4.0 and 5.0” (619997- EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) and «Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policies and Civil Society» (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).
