On April 29, 2021, a joint series of classes was held for students and teachers of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of SSU, as well as the Department of Construction Entrepreneurship and Real Estate Economics of Riga Technical University.
During the classes, Doctor of Economics, Professor Leonid Melnyk, Professor of SSU and Director of the Research Institute of Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has provided lectures on “Sustainable development in the light of modern industrial revolutions.” This was followed by a joint round table debates of teachers and students of Ukrainian and Latvian universities. The moderator of the round table was PhD, professor of RTU Tetyana Tambovtseva. Many issues were discussed at the round table, in particular, the challenges, problems and consequences of the industrial revolutions were considered in EU.
The series of classes were conducted within the framework of the Jean Monnet grant (Chair level) “EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020-2023)”, which is currently being implemented at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and BA of Ukrainian University.
