In the Fall semester of 2023, the teacher of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Oleksandr Kubatko provided lecturing for the students and teachers of PolNTU named after Y. Kondratyuk.
As part of the intensive course on “Basics of the EU lessons for shaping the social and solidarity economy”, the solidarity in Ukraine and EU before and during the war in Ukraine was discussed. Attention of students was focused on the need to build civil society in Ukraine. Oleksandr underlined that in 2012, the European Union was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for promoting peace, reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.
Social and solidarity economy relates to designation of organizations and enterprises that are engaged in the production of goods/services, and are autonomous from the state and are guided by the goals of achieving social welfare, cooperation and solidarity.
Oleksandr talked about social and solidarity sector in the European Union and its place in the modern economic life.
