MBA students look to the future: Lecture by Doctor of Economics, Prof. Leonid Melnyk on modern industrial revolutions

November 16, 2020 Doctor of Economics, Professor Leonid Melnyk, Professor of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (EEBA) SumDU, Director of the Research Institute for Development Economics MES and NAS of Ukraine, gave an online lecture for Masters of Business Administration in Sumy State University. The lecture was devoted to the modern industrial revolutions that humanity has now entered.

This meeting was possible within the framework of two  Jean Monnet EU grants (chair level) currently being implemented at EEBA: “Legislative, the environmental and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society within Industries 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1 -UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) and “EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).

The lecture provoked a lot of questions from the audience and a lively discussion. Most of the items were deeply polemical: “Is there an alternative to today’s trend of crowding in urban conglomerates?” “How do people see settlements and homes in the future?” “What can be the bifurcations of the development of man himself and his relationship with the world of cyborgs?” etc.
