Training of the winning team of the national student startups competition

The team of Sumy State University with the startup “OK-TOWN” took third place in the All-Ukrainian competition of student startups from the network of business incubators YEP.

More than 120 teams from all over Ukraine registered at the start, 56 – in the semifinals, and finally – 10 teams reached the final pitch of the national competition of student startups.

At the final pitch, which took place in February 2021, the SSU team was represented by Olena Kasyan, a graduate of the master’s program “Public Administration” (initiator of the startup), and Artem Rudychenko, a third-year student majoring in “Accounting and Taxation”. The mentors of the winning team are Oleksandr Kubatko, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, and Serhiy Solodovnikov, Chairman of the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists (STSA) of SSU. 

The students were prepared within the module “SME and start-ups in the EU in conditions of Industries 4.0 and 5.0” of the JMC grant  “EU legislative, economic and social transition to a sustainable society” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).
