Lecture by Doctor of Economics, Prof. L. Melnyk with faith in Victory

On April 15, 2022, with a lecture “Modern trends in business: the EU experience”, Doctor of Economics, Professor Leonid Melnyk, Head of the EU Department Jean Monnet at SumDU began a new series of classes for SumDU students “Basics of EU readiness to meet the challenges of Industries 3.0, 4.0, 5.0”. Students of the course are part-time students majoring in marketing, management and law who voluntarily chose to participate in the course.

Despite the challenging conditions of the war, more than half of the group could attend online lectures. The rest joined the cycle of classes in asynchronous mode. Fortunately, in addition to the presentation of the lecture, textbooks prepared by teachers of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (EEBA) of SumDU helped to study the course.

The lecture was held online, and most students could take an active part in it and express their opinions. It is gratifying that those students brought to other countries by fate due to hostilities (Spain, Italy, Poland, Germany) were also able to join the lecture. Practical classes on the training cycle are conducted by PhD (in Economics), assoc. EEBA Department Oleksandr Matsenko.

This series of classes was developed at the EEBA department within the framework of Jean Monnet projects (department level) implemented at the department: “EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) (2020–2023), headed by L. Melnyk.
