On November 13, 2020, an online meeting Dr, Prof. Leonid Melnyk gave the lecture for students of the Sumy secondary school №21 on Oleh Balatsky Street. Professor L. Melnyk told students about the results of work on the EU project Jean Monnet “Legislative, economic and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR), the head of which he is. The scientist spoke about the current trends of socio-economic development of mankind, revealed the issues of industrial revolutions, noting that the pace of spread of disruptive technologies is largely reminiscent of modern pandemics.
Vladyslav Piven, a graduate of this school and now a student-economist at the Oleg Balatsky Institute for Finance, Economics and Manadgement, spoke at the meeting. Vladislav drew attention to the advantages of studying at SSU and stressed the importance of economic knowledge for a successful future.
