Reflecting on the European path of Ukraine’s development: a lecture by Professor Leonid Melnyk for teachers and students of Poltava

On april 21, 2020 Leonid Melnyk, Jean Monnet Chair at SSU gave an open online lecture “Basics of the EU readiness to meet the challenges of Industries 3.0, 4.0, 5.0”. This lecture started a series of scientific and educational classes on this topic.

About 90 people attended the lecture. Among them are representatives of specialties: Management, Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange, International Economic Relations, Public Administration, Information Systems and Technologies of the Institute of Economics, Management, Law and Information Technologies of Poltava State Agrarian University (PSAU). ). The event was also attended by teachers and students of VSP “Professional College of Management, Economics and Law of PSAU”, VSP “Agrarian and Economic Professional College of PSAU”, VSP “Lubny Financial and Economic Professional College of PSAU”, VSP “Khorol Agroindustrial Professional College” Students who are temporarily in the western regions of Ukraine, as well as in Germany and Poland took part in the martial law.

The lecture was interactive. Students and graduate students took an active part in it. The lecturer answered many questions. The lecture was followed by a round table, where participants – teachers and students discussed possible ways of development of Ukraine in the postwar period, the prospects of integration of the Ukrainian economy into the European space. The moderator of the round table was Doctor of Economics, Professor of PSAU M.V. Zos-Kior, who summed up the debate.

The lecture was prepared within the framework of two EU projects of Jean Monnet (Chair level), which are implemented at Sumy State University at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration.
