International level victory: 1st place for Sumy student at the International Competition “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” in Kremenchuk

On June 3, 2021, on the basis of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, in cooperation with universities of Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Poland, China and many others, the final round of the International Student Research Competition in specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange” took place.

For the final part of the Competition (online) 20 scientific works out of 60 submitted for the Competition were picked. The competition was very fierce among the representatives of the following countries: Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Canada, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic.

The jury was also international and included representatives from different countries.

Sumy State University was represented by Stanislav Nikolaiev (4th year), a student of Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management (Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration – EEandBA) with a research paper on “The Future of Entrepreneurship and World Trade: Cryptocurrency and DeFi Protocols”. The research paper was written under the guidance of close international cooperation, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Oleksandr Matsenko (Sumy State University) and Doctor of Economics, Professor Tatjana Tambovceva (Riga Technical University).

At the request of the organizing committee of the conference, the co-adviser of the SSU`s student Tatjana Tambovceva made a welcoming speech.

According to the results of the Sumy student’s participation and defense of his work in English, he won 1st place. The relevance of the chosen research topic and the prospects of implementing the results were especially noted.

The paper also took into account the results of two EU research and educational projects of Jean Monnet (department level), which are currently being implemented at the Department of EEandBA: “EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR, Head – Doctor of Economics O. Kubatko) and “Legislative, Economic and Social Transition of the EU to a Sustainable Society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR Head – Doctor of Economics, Professor L. Melnyk) and funded by the European Commission program.
