The scientist’s view in the future. Speech by Professor Leonid G. Melnyk at an international conference at KhNEU

Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, SumDU, Director of the Institute of MES and NAS of Ukraine made a report at the plenary session of the annual International Scientific Conference CED-2020 on Economic Development and Legacy of Simon Kuznets, which took place on 27.11.2020 in Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics. This year the conference was held in the remote system Zoom. 320 participants took part in its work. Well-known universities of the world were represented, including universities from Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, India, China, Lithuania, Germany, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, and the USA.
In a report entitled “Looking to the Future: the EU Experience and Ukrainian Practice”, the Sumy scholar presented the results of two Jean Monnet grants (department level) currently being implemented at the department: “Legislative, the environmental and social transition of the EU to a sustainable society within Industries 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) and also “EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) Listeners were interested in the predictive pictures of the future presented by the scientist, followed by the world during the third, fourth and fifth industrial revolutions (Industry 3.0, 4.0, 5.0).
