On October 15, 2025, a workshop entitled “European Practices of Research Excellence: Automating Work with Literature in Zotero” was held, launching a lecture series for young researchers of Poltava State Agrarian University as part of the international project Jean Monnet Chair “Strengthening EU Leadership and Capacity in Science and Innovation” (101175767—EU_STRENGHTS—ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH) funded by the European Union.
The speaker of the event was Inna Koblianska, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration of Sumy State University, and leader of the EU_STRENGHTS project.
During the workshop, participants – master’s students, PhD candidates, and researchers of PSAU (37 participants) – learned about European approaches to enhancing research efficiency and tools for automating work with bibliographic information. Particular attention was paid to using Zotero for managing references, creating citations, and generating bibliographies in academic papers.
The event was moderated by Viktoriia Medvid, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Head of the Department of Economics and Public Administration.
The workshop marked a significant step in fostering the research culture of young scholars and contributed to promoting European values and research excellence practices in Ukrainian universities.
