SumDU Student Among the Winners of Social Impact Award Ukraine 2025

In October, 2025 a second-year economics student, Liliia Suiarova, together with her team, won the Social Impact Award Ukraine 2025 and received 1,500 USD for prototyping their own business idea.

Social Impact Award (SIA) is an international program that supports young social entrepreneurs in more than 25 countries around the world. Its goal is to help young teams develop their ideas through education, mentorship, and financial support for implementing the best social initiatives.

In Ukraine, SIA has been held for five years. In 2025, more than 80 teams applied to take part, and only 10 of them were selected for a three-month incubation program that included training, business model development, and preparation for the final pitch.

According to the jury’s results, three teams became winners, each receiving a grant of 1,500 USD to develop their social enterprises. Among them was the project PrintCycle, led by a SumDU student — an initiative aimed at promoting STEM education in Ukraine by reusing plastic materials for new educational purposes.

We remind you that SumDU has a Startup Center “New Generation”

We congratulate the winner and wish her not to stop there!
