Successful Launch of the COIL Course in Collaboration with the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, USA

On October 21, 2024, the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration, in partnership with the Department of Marketing, commenced the COIL course in collaboration with the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, USA.

Associate Professor Inna Koblianska and the Marketing Department Head, Tetyana Pimonenko, are the course coordinators from Sumy State University. Dr. Sarah Grace is the US coordinator from the Sam M. Walton College of Business. The faculty involved in this course developed and planned it cooperatively over six months.

The “Promotional campaign on sustainable lifestyle at the campus: COIL course” aims to enhance students’ understanding and skills related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), sustainable lifestyles, and the importance of trust and promotion in achieving these goals. Additionally, it provides invaluable experience in live communication and collaboration within intercultural teams.

More than 40 students from the Institute of Business, Economics, and Management at Sumy State University, majoring in 075 Marketing, 051 Economics, and 076 Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Stock Market Activity, are participating in the course.

The first session focused on introducing the students and forming teams. Nearly 80 students from both institutions were divided into ten teams, where they will work on joint projects to promote sustainable lifestyles on campus.

We sincerely congratulate all course participants on this successful start and wish them creativity and inspiration as they develop their projects and presentations.
