Startup the first steps in business: EU and Ukrainian Experience for Master students

Starting, February 2024, the selective discipline for Master students “Startup: first steps in entrepreneurship EU and Ukrainian Experience» began at Sumy State University. The lecturer of the discipline is Oleksandr Kubatko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration. Within the framework of the discipline, students got acquainted with the peculiarities of the creation and promotion of startups in the domestic and foreign markets. The specific discussion questions are related to:

  • Business planning. Assess the potential of a business idea. The structure of the business plan.
  • Crowdfunding and fundraising in EU and Ukraine. Crowdfunding platforms in the world and in EU Ukraine.
  • Taxation of business activities in EU and Ukraine. Taxation of business structures. Personal income taxation.
  • The essence of franchising and its role in the distribution of services. Benefits of franchising for the franchisor and the
  • EU Business ethics
  • The concept of EU ethics, etiquette. Code of ethics, business protocol.
