Fundamentals of sustainable development: the EU practice in the context of Industry 4.0

At the beginning of December 2020, the innovative course “Sustainable Development of Economic Systems” for masters-economists of FEM SumDU was completed (lecturer – Doctor of Economics, Professor Leonid G. Melnyk, instructor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Yuriy M. Derev’yanko).

The course also presented a meaningful module, “EU best practices for implementing sustainable development in the context of Industry 4.0”. During the development of the course and the module, the results of two J. Monnet grants (department level) were used. These grants are currently implemented at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration at SumDU “Legislative, environmental and social transition of the EU to sustainable society within Industries 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1- UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR) and EU Economic Policy and Civil Society (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).
