Training on the development of startup projects within the framework of the regional accelerator

In March-April 2024, as part of the business academy of the GCIP regional accelerator for innovations, technologies and startups in the Sumy region, Oleksandr Kubatko, a lecturer at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of the Sumy State University, gave lectures and held a mentoring session for the participants of the event.

The project of the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development is aimed at supporting and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem for the implementation of innovative clean technologies ( CleanTech) in Ukraine. The regional accelerator GCIP in Sumy State University was created to promote innovations, technologies and startups of the Sumy region.

During the first session of the project, Oleksandr Kubatko talked about the basics of entrepreneurship and opportunities for business development in the Sumy region. The issues of competition and drivers of purchasing decisions were discussed in detail. During the second session of the project, Oleksandr Kubatko talked about product competitiveness, scaling and entering global markets, the best examples of implementation of startup projects in Ukraine, the EU and the world market.

The delivered lectures were partly based on the results of the educational and scientific project of EU Jean Monnet Module which is currently being carried out at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration: Jean Monnet Module “Disruptive technologies for sustainable development in conditions of Industries 4.0 and 5.0: the EU Experience” (101083435 — DTSDI — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) (2022-2025) headed O.
