In December 2023, the Winter Business School “Youth & Business: EU and Ukrainian Experience” was held online. The event aims to give knowledge on core values in running a business in the EU and Ukraine.
More than 100 people took part in the Business School, including students of universities, colleges and pupils of higher schools from such cities as Sumy, Odesa, Konotop, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Bila Tserkva, Kamianets-Podilskyi, etc.
The guest speakers at the Business School were Ukrainian entrepreneurs with business development experience in EU countries, particularly Germany and Poland.
The organizers and moderators of the event were the executors of the Jean Monnet Module Bohdan Kovalov, Oleksandr Kubatko and Vladyslav Piven, teachers and researchers of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University.
The participants gained knowledge about the values and ethics of business in the EU and Ukraine, as well as practical knowledge on finding a business niche and analyzing competitors, developing a one-page business plan, creating an MVP and a prototype, and attracting investments into the business. In addition, participants worked individually and in teams to develop their own business projects.
