On November 7, 2025, the 5th International Conference on Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics (ICMLBDA-2025) began its work. The event is co-organized by Sumy State University, particularly by the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration and the Department of Computer Science.
One of the key sessions of the conference was “Data-Driven Models and Analytics for the Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation”, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Inna Koblianska from the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration. The session was co-chaired by Assoc. Prof. Borys Kuzykov from the Department of Computer Science at SumDU and Assoc. Prof. Anna Maslon-Oracz from the Warsaw School of Economics (Poland).
Within the session, researchers from Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine presented the results of their studies focused on the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics to foster sustainable innovation, digital economy development, business efficiency, and resource management. The discussion covered topics such as AI and data-driven models in industry, economic forecasting, sustainable regional development modeling, and digital transformation.
The conference is held in a hybrid format on November 7–8, 2025. On the first day alone, over 40 participants from different countries joined the online sessions.
The event has become an important platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging experience, and building new interdisciplinary connections. The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer PROMS series, indexed in the Scopus database.
