A new textbook, EU Economy and Economic Policies of Business Support, authored by Dr Bohdan Kovalov and Prof. Oleksandr Kubatko, has been prepared within the Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for Cooperation” (101126538 – YouthBEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH) funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Published in 2026, the textbook provides a systematic introduction to the functioning of the European Union economy and its policies for supporting business. It covers European economic integration, entrepreneurship and start-ups, innovation, employment, business–university cooperation, trade policy and international business, with particular attention to economic relations between Ukraine and the EU.
The textbook is structured around three main areas: the European Union as an economic system, entrepreneurship and business support in the EU, and competitiveness, human capital and international business. It also includes case studies, a concluding section and a glossary of key EU economic and business terms.
The publication represents one of the key educational outputs of the YouthBEU Module and is designed to support students in understanding the links between European integration, economic policy, markets and business development.
