A new monograph, Startup and Entrepreneurship: EU and Ukrainian Experience, authored by Dr Bohdan L. Kovalov, Professor Oleksandr V. Kubatko and Vladyslav S. Piven, has been prepared within the Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for Cooperation” (101126538 – YouthBEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH) funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
The monograph examines contemporary approaches to entrepreneurship and startup development through a comparative analysis of the European Union and Ukraine. It explores entrepreneurial ecosystems, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainable business models and innovation-driven economic development, while also considering the institutional and policy frameworks that support entrepreneurial growth.
The publication is organised around five major themes: sustainable development and SME growth, digital transformation and technological modernisation, artificial intelligence as a driver of entrepreneurship, startup development and innovation ecosystems, and sustainable entrepreneurship and future business opportunities.
Particular attention is given to the interaction between innovation, digitalisation, sustainability and European integration, as well as to the ways in which EU experience can inform the further development of Ukraine’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The monograph represents one of the major academic outcomes of the YouthBEU Module and is intended for researchers, university teachers, students, policymakers, entrepreneurs and business-support practitioners interested in the future of entrepreneurship in Europe and Ukraine.
