Meeting Between University Faculty and Students and 10th-Grade Pupils from School No. 9 in Sumy

In October 2026, Oleksandr Kubatko—Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration—along with Vitaliia Koibichuk—PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Economic Cybernetics—held a meeting with 10th-grade pupils from School No. 9 in the city of Sumy.
The meeting was also attended by top-performing students from the relevant fields of study: Mykhailo Radko (specializing in Economics and International Economic Relations, with a focus on “Economics”) and Anastasiia Sytnyk (specializing in Management, with a focus on “Entrepreneurship”).
Anastasiia and Mykhailo shared their personal experiences regarding business activities while pursuing their respective degrees.
The meeting took place within the framework of a partnership between Sumy State University (SumDU) and schools in Sumy, which involves SumDU faculty members teaching specialized subjects at the high school level. Specifically, SumDU lecturers teach the course “Entrepreneurship and Startups.”
During the event, Oleksandr and Vitaliia discussed opportunities for developing entrepreneurial skills, encouraged the pupils to participate in the SumDU “Youth and Business” school, and provided an overview of the academic programs offered by their departments. In particular, they explained the specifics of the “Management” (Entrepreneurship track) and “Economics and International Economic Relations” (Economics track) programs, as well as the “Economic Cybernetics” program. We thank the organizers of the meeting—specifically Andrii Piven, Head of the SumDU Startup Center—for the opportunity to join the meeting.
