“Act!” That was exactly the slogan that sounded on Friday, May 03, 2019 for students of the specializations “Economics and Business” and “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” at SumDU.
In the framework of the course “Statistics”, a master class lecture was given by a targetologist, Anna Derikolenko, SumDU graduate. She focused on the importance of economists in modern digital companies.
Postgraduate students and students had the opportunity to gain experience from a modern professional specializing in the analysis of social networking data, how to commercialize the knowledge gained during training at SumDU. Anna also explained how to use statistical methods to conduct marketing research and improve business efficiency based on analytics.
The issues of the digital footprint relevance, which every person leaves, the value of Big Data processing and the protection of information for businesses in a digital economy were considered. Students learned about the useful data mining methods and the sources for making management decisions in a modern competitive environment.
