Jean Monnet conference on imperatives of economic growth in Ukraine and in the EU

During October 25–29, 2021 in Sumy there was held an International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Imperatives of Economic Growth in Ukraine and in the EU in the Context of Sustainable Development”. The conference is organized within the Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policies and Civil Society (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR).

The conference gathered more than 90 scientists, teachers, doctoral students, graduate students, bachelor students and business representatives.  The organizational committee of the conference was represented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Sumy State University, Kaunas University of Technology, School of Economics and Business, University of Bradford, School of Management, Riga Technical University, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, AgriSciences Platform for Scientific Enhancement of HEIs in Ukraine, University of New Brunswick, International Centre for Enterprise and Sustainable Development (ICED), Accra, Ghana.

Four Jean Monnet Chairs presented their achievements during the conference.

Jean-Marc TROUILLE (Jean Monnet Chair, Associate Professor, School of Management (University of Bradford, UK) has discussed the Brexit issues in the EU and provided some explanations of them.

Martin Dangerfield (Professor of European Integration, Jean Monnet Chair in the European Integration of Central and East Europe, University of Wolverhampton, UK) has spoken about long view of outcomes of the eastward enlargement of the EU.

Oleksandr Kubatko  (Dr. Sc. Econ., Jean Monnet Chair in EU economic policies and civil society) has spoken about EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and main sustainability challenges in trade

Leonid Melnyk (Dr. Sc. Econ., Jean Monnet Chair in EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society) has spoken about modern industrial revolutions as the reality of present time.
