From November 11 to November 17, Associate Professor of our Department Chortok Yuliia Volodymyrivna studied the features of inclusive education at the University of T.G. Masaryk in the Czech Republic (Brno) as a member in Ukrainian universities’ delegation. The largest proportion of Czech students with special needs studies in Masaryk University (about 26%).
The University has a Support Center for Students with Special Needs, which is one of the most progressive in the Czech Republic and provides all the necessary facilities for students with disabilities – 550 students out of 32,000. The center has a library of educational materials printed in Braille, on a 3D printer and bulk samples. All the necessary conditions for the free movement of such students across the university campus (elevators, automatic doors, elevators, ramps, Braille signs, etc.) have also been created.
