Participation of the department at the Regional Forum “Days of Sustainable Development in Sumy Oblast” |
On November 30, 2018, a delegation from the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, consisting of Professor Irina Sotnik, graduate student Alla Treus and Student Gr. PE-61 Evgeniya Kripak participated in the Regional Forum “Days of Sustainable Development in Sumy Oblast”, which was conducted on the basis of the Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU).
The event was organized with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the SNAU and SSU. The forum participants discussed topical issues related to the achievement of the goals of sustainable development, the possibilities of cooperation between UNDP and Sumy in the framework of the project “Association of co-owners of multi-apartment buildings (ACMHs) for the implementation sustainable energy-efficient solutions” (HOUSES), development of education for sustainable development of territories. The representatives of the department had an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest world and domestic trends and achievements in the field of sustainable development, to work in the forum sections on practical projects connected with achieving the goals of sustainable development. The audience was particularly interested in Tamara Kharchenko’s report, the UNDP regional coordinator for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in Sumy Oblast and the HOUSES Project Coordinator in the Sumy Oblast.
As a result of the essay contest of student work conducted by UNDP and devoted to issues of sustainable development, Eugenia Kripak was awarded a diploma of the winner. Congratulations to Yevgeny!
