GUEST LECTURE ON SUCCESSFUL UKRAINIAN STARTUPS AT SUMY NATIONAL AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY

On October 29, 2025, a guest lecture was held for students of Sumy National Agrarian University as part of the course “Innovative Entrepreneurship and Startup Management: EU Experience for Ukraine”, implemented within the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair project “Strengthening EU Leadership and Capacity in Science and Innovation”(101175767—EU_STRENGHTS—ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH).

Dr. Oleksandr Kubatko, Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration at Sumy State University, delivered the first lecture on the topic of successful startups from Ukraine. In his presentation, the lecturer combined theoretical foundations of startup creation and development with practical cases, showcasing a number of successful examples from Sumy region and across Ukraine.

The event brought together 38 participants – students, lecturers, and researchers of Sumy National Agrarian University. The lecture sparked a lively discussion on entrepreneurship development conditions, the role of innovation in the startup ecosystem, and opportunities for Ukrainian initiatives to participate in European support programs.

Special attention was given to the opportunities provided by EU programs for the development of startups, innovative businesses, and the formation of entrepreneurial competences among youth.
