The cybersecurity meetup “The absence of attacks is not yet a guarantee of security” took place on October 22 in Uzhhorod. Kostiantyn Zavrazhnyi, PhD in Economics and Senior Researcher at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration (Sumy State University), participated in the event.
The speaker of the meeting was Vasyl Spachynskyi – an independent cybersecurity researcher with over 13 years of experience in software development and cybersecurity. In his presentation “Cybersecurity is dead. Your hacker is just busy,” he shared his perspective on digital system security through the eyes of a vulnerability researcher and discussed new challenges associated with the development of AI agents.
Special attention was given to why the absence of recorded attacks does not mean a system is secure, how to detect vulnerabilities before attackers exploit them, and what risks arise with the emergence of new technologies.
The meeting served as a platform for exchanging experience and holding professional discussions on issues important to developers, cybersecurity specialists, and the tech business.
