Three online courses have been developed within the Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for Cooperation” (101126538 – YouthBEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), led by Dr Bohdan Kovalov at Sumy State University.
The courses are available in Ukrainian and cover three complementary areas:
“Startup the First Steps in Business: EU and Ukrainian Experience” provides a practice-oriented introduction to entrepreneurship and startup development. Through case studies, EU best practices and structured discussions, the course guides learners through the business lifecycle from an initial idea to a registered, tax-compliant and ethically grounded enterprise.
“EU Economy and Economic Policies of Business Support” introduces students to the structure of the EU economy and the policy framework that supports business development and employment generation. It combines theoretical foundations with a practical understanding of opportunities and challenges faced by firms operating within and beyond the EU market.
“EU Trade and International Business” focuses on the economics and policy of EU trade and the mechanisms supporting international business, with particular attention to EU–Ukraine economic relations. The course helps students understand how trade policy shapes business competitiveness and the opportunities and constraints facing firms engaged in international markets.
The three courses represent an important educational output of the YouthBEU Module and provide open learning resources for strengthening knowledge of entrepreneurship, the EU economy and international business.
