Study in the Netherlands under the “Double Degree” Program

First-year student of the field of study “Economics of Enterprise” Maksym Kazantsev (Ef-41, Department of Economics and Business Administration, FEM) completes the first semester of 2014/2015 academic year at the same time at Sumy State University and at Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands).

Fontys University of Applied Sciences is a leading European University of Applied Sciences and one of the largest schools in the Netherlands, which has about 42,000 students, including 4,000 foreign students from more than 70 countries. This University comprises 29 institutions across the country, which offers international training programs in English, Dutch and other foreign languages. The university has 100 different study programs.

Maksym studies for a Master’s degree in the specialty “International Business and Management”, which includes a series of lectures, practices and consultation. Lectures involve both young teachers – graduates of the University – and experienced professors-practitioners with extensive experience of work for international companies. During training, much attention is paid to the practice where real examples explain how to implement the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice. The Fontys University is concerned about the quality of educational services, so surveys of students regularly conducted on the quality of education or professors work.

Maksym has the desire to learn from the European experience while studying at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, which could be successfully applied in practice on returning to Ukraine.
