Conducting European course of lectures

As previously reported, a group of teachers from Economics and Business Administration Department headed by prof. Leonid Melnyk have won a three-year European Union Erasmus+ grant on “Using best EU practices for sustainable economy forming in Ukraine”.

Jean Monnet was a prominent international figure and one of the founders of integration processes in Europe through which European countries have managed to overcome their disunity and the temptation to “pull the blanket over himself.” Unfortunately, this atavistic phenomenon is still present at post-Soviet space. The consequence is that in the XXI century, we are witnessing a wild occupation of one independent country by other neighboring state.

The project team has developed methodological basis of the course and prepared training manuals, presentations and visual material.

In the second half of November, Professor Leonid Melnyk began to read a course of lectures “EU practices for sustainable economy implementation in Ukraine” for the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management. Part of lectures for foreign students is provided in English. The course covers such issues as: concepts and principles of sustainable development, sustainable development in EU, structure and formation of a sustainable economy, best European practices for creating a sustainable economy, objects and tools to ensure a sustainable economy, European democratic institutions in shaping a sustainable economy, and others.

At the same time Ph.D., associate professor Oleksandr Kubatko began to teach the course “EU practices of entrepreneurship and start-up organization: main lessons for Ukraine” for the students of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. In the program also involved Ph.D., associate professor Iryna Degtyareva and she would provide lectures in the next semester.

The program of module also foreseen a round table, where students would be able to consolidate their knowledge in solving practical tasks. During the next phases of the program implementation it would be provided lectures for the students of Kharkov and Odessa.
