Students of the specialty “Construction and Civil Engineering” had grasped knowledge in EU Trade and International Business

In December 2024, a Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Dr Oleksandr Kubatko delivered the “EU Trade and International Business” course to students in “Construction and Civil Engineering” at the Sumy Applied College of Construction and Architecture.

As part of the intensive course, students explored key aspects of EU trade and policies designed to support international business. They engaged in developing business projects and crafted strategic plans for entering global markets.

Dr Kubatko led discussions on the economic principles underpinning trade, the dynamics of both internal and external European trade, and the evolving trade relationship between the EU and Ukraine, examining conditions before and during the ongoing war. The course also covered the Agreement on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) between Ukraine and the EU, alongside insights into active EU companies and the broader landscape of international business.

We express our gratitude to Svitlana Sokolenko, as well as the College Management Team for the opportunity to hold events and organize students.

The training course has been prepared within the framework of the implementation of the European Commission project – the Jean Monnet Module “Youth & Business: EU Practices for Cooperation” (101126538-YouthBEU-ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
