Social Solidarity Economy (SSE): implementation of the EU experience for sustainable development

On June 3, 2022, a series of lectures was held within the framework of the Jean Monnet project module “Social Solidarity Economy (SSE): implementation of the EU experience for sustainable development” (SSExpEU – 101047518 – GAP-101047518, 2022-2025) for students of Sumy State University Ukraine), Polissya National University (Ukraine) and with the participation of representatives of scientific circles of the University of Maryland (Maryland, USA). The event was conducted by the project performers Ph.D. Oleksii Goncharenko, Dr. Sc., Prof., Iryna Sotnyk, and Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Yuliya Chortok. The lecturers explained SSE values and principles in the framework of sustainable development and considered examples of practical implementation of the SSE concept in various sectors of the EU economy. Based on a lively discussion in the form of a round table “SSE: from theory to practice” with participation of Prof. Vitaliy Dankevych (Polissya National University) and Prof. Ann Leger (University of Maryland), the possibilities of implementing the European experience in SSE for Ukraine’s economy are analysed.
