On June 9, 2026, the international scientific conference “Service-Learning for Ukraine’s Recovery: Education, Citizenship, and Community Resilience,” organized by the Ukrainian Catholic University, took place.
Inna Balahurovska, a PhD student at Sumy State University, participated in the conference and presented a paper titled “The Role of Adult Education in Strengthening Social Cohesion in Post-War Recovery.” Her presentation examined the role of adult education in fostering social cohesion and supporting societal recovery in the post-war period.
Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to present research findings, engage in international academic discussions on education, civic engagement, and community resilience, and explore the potential of education as a tool for Ukraine’s recovery.
Following the conference, a collection titled “Service-Learning for Ukraine’s Recovery: Education, Citizenship, and Community Resilience: Book of Abstracts” was published.
