On May 28, 2021, the final online conference of the International competition of student research papers in the specialty 051 “Economics” was held at the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. This year the competition featured more than 100 research from many countries, such as Ukraine, China, Georgia, Italy, Belarus, Ghana and others. Representatives of various countries (Netherlands, Belarus, Iraq, Georgia, etc.) were also represented in the jury.
The Sumy State University team was delegated by the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration. The report was presented by Yevhen Skrypka, a fourth-year student of the educational program “Economics and Business” and Kateryna Bogomolova, a fourth-year student of the educational program “Business, Trade and Exchange Activities”. The supervisors of the work were the head of the department, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Oleksandra Karintseva (SumSU) and Dr. Vladimir Melnyk (Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain).
A well-deserved achievement was the second place in the competition, which was awarded for the amount of the research and the speech (in English) at the final conference. The research is devoted to the problems of socio-economic efficiency of the implementation of 3D printing in building.
It should be noted that the research was performed within the framework of two EU projects of Jean Monnet (department level), implemented by the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration: “EU Economic Policies and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR, Head – Professor Oleksandr Kubatko) and “EU legislative, economic and social transition to sustainable society within Industry 4.0 and 5.0” (619997-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR, Head – Dr. Prof. Leonid Melnyk) and funded by the European Commission program.
