In May 2022, as part of the implementation of the Jean Monet Module project “Social Solidarity Economy: Implementation of the EU experience for sustainable development”, the professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, Dr. Sc., Prof. Iryna Sotnyk published an electronic study aid “Social and Solidarity Economy” for students of economic and other specialties, as well as teachers and specialists who are interested in social and solidarity economy (SSE) issues.
The study aid examines the prerequisites and evolution of the social and solidarity economy, its concepts, mechanisms of management and leadership of SSE organizations. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of forming the state policy in the sector and the mechanisms of its financial support, as well as the experience of building SSE through partnership and cooperation. The contribution of SSE to the development of labor relations, the shadow economy formalization and sustainable development was studied, and the role of social entrepreneurship in the modern concept of SSE was analyzed.
