On August 21–22, 2026, the Third International Virtual Conference on Ukraine took place, organized by Linköping University (Sweden).
Iryna Sotnyk, Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration, participated in the conference and delivered a presentation on August 22 titled: «Drivers of Direct Employment in Ukraine’s Electricity Sector: A Scenario-Based Analysis».
The presentation focused on evaluating the key drivers and dynamics of direct employment within Ukraine’s electricity sector amidst post-war reconstruction and the clean energy transition. The discussion highlighted scenario-based modeling of the power system’s evolution and its corresponding socio-economic and workforce impacts.
The conference provided a valuable international platform for exchanging research findings, strengthening academic collaboration, and discussing strategic pathways for the sustainable recovery and future of Ukraine.
