Prof. L.G. Melnyk Participation in the Congress and Scientific Award

On September 28-29, 2013 the head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Dr.E., Professor Leonid Grygorovych Melnyk took part in the International Congress dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Vernadsky: “V.I. Vernadsky scientific heritage – fundamental basis of the scientific and educational revolution of the XXI century and the global strategy for sustainable development”. Congress was held in St. Petersburg – the city where was born, studied and worked a great Russian and Ukrainian scientist, a world science genius, the founder and the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the independent Ukraine.

Prof. L.G. Melnyk spoke on: “The Economic Systems Self-Regulation Principles”. At the congress he was also awarded with the Medal “150 years since the V.I. Vernadsky birth”, established by the international Non-governmental Ecological Foundation V.I. Vernadsky .

The medal regulations state: “Jubilee symbols are awarded to the outstanding scientists, statesmen and public figures, businessmen, representatives of educational and social institutions and organizations, foreign citizens for their outstanding achievements and scientific advances in the field of dissemination and promotion of the academician V.I. Vernadsky scientific heritage, for the practical implementation of his ideas, for their achievements in the field of ecology, rational natural-resourses-use and environmental protection”.
