New Textbook “Economics of Development” and Tutorial “Economic Fundamentals of Resource-Saving” Publication

In autumn 2013 the textbook “Economics of Development” by the head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Dr.E., professor Leonid Grygorovych Melnyk and the Tutorial “Economic Fundamentals of Resource-Saving” by professor of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Dr.E., professor Iryna Myckolaivna Sotnyk, which are the result of many-years authors work on the problems of socio- economic systems development, on elaboration of theoretical and methodological foundations of resource-saving.

In the L.G. Melnyk textbook “Economics of Development” on basis of modern synergetic theory the fundamentals of functioning, self-organization and development of economic systems are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the dynamics of economic processes, transformational transitions, feedback action, converting the material, information and synergistic factors. Conditions for sustainable progressive socio-economic, environmental, economic and technical systems development are studied. The textbook will be useful for teachers and university students, researchers, government officials, businessmen and all those who are interested in the problems of modern economic theory and practice.

In the I.M.Sotnyk tutorial “Economic Fundamentals of Resource-Saving” evolution, main factors and resource-saving directions are considered. Attention is paid to socio-ecological-economic efficiency assessment for energy-saving measures, formation aspects of environmental and economic mechanism of management and motivation are examined for resource-saving along with resource-saving processes monitoring problems. Resource-saving management is analyzed in developed countries and in Ukraine, as well as problems of resource-saving market development problem.
