PARTICIPATION OF THE DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE IN AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR-DISCUSSION AT THE NAS OF ARMENIA

On March 24, 2026, the International Scientific-Educational Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (ISEC NAS RA) hosted an international interdisciplinary scientific seminar-discussion “Decision-Making and Problem Solving.” The event was held within the framework of scientific project № 25RG-5A025 “Subjective Well-being and Social Stability in the Context of Overcoming Psychological Anomie,” funded by the Higher Education and Science Committee of Armenia.

The keynote speaker of the event was Iryna Sotnyk, Professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor. In her report, the researcher highlighted the behavioral characteristics of individuals under conditions of socio-economic uncertainty. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of how decision-making processes are determined not only by rational calculations but also by risk perception, anxiety levels, and social trust.

During the discussion, participants discussed effective strategies for solving complex socio-economic problems through the prism of sustainable development and social inclusion, emphasizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach. Such an approach allows for a deeper understanding of social behavior and the development of practical solutions to strengthen the resilience of socio-economic systems during transformations.

Participation in events of such a level is important for strengthening the international scientific cooperation of Sumy State University, increasing the research potential of the department, and integrating the results of Ukrainian economic studies into the international scientific space.
