Participation in the scientific congress dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Riga Technical University

Since October 10 till October 13 the Head of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Dr. Prof. Leonid Melnyk gave a scientific visit to Riga Technical University. He made the presentations of the papers “Dualism economic systems” and “Ecopolis as Innovative Vector of Forming “Green” Economy” (co-authors O.Shkarupa, I.Dehtyarova, I. Burlakova) in the economic section of the scientific congress dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Riga Technical University.

At the request of the Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management, he delivered lectures cycle on “Theory of self-organization of economic systems” for university students.

At the ceremonial reception on Jubilee Anniversary of RTU Professor Leonid Melnyk presented a congratulation letter from Rector of Sumy State University, Professor Anatoliy Vasyliev to RTU Rector, Academician of the LAS Leonīds Ribickis. Professor Melnyk also presented to RTU Rector an international textbook published in Ukraine “Sustainable Development: Theory, Methodology, Practice”, in preparation of which participated scientists from RTU and SSU together with scientists from 17 countries.

During his stay Professor Melnyk also learnt environmental policies of Latvia and Riga.
