«Participation in the discussion of the Research (Report) ” Financialization of the world economy and increasing global debt: challenges and opportunities for Ukraine”»

February 10, 2021 at the invitation of the Growford Institute (Kyiv) Associate Professor, Ph.D. Viktor SABADASH took an active part in the discussion of the study (report) “Financing the world economy and increasing global debt: challenges and opportunities for Ukraine”, presented by experts from the Growford Institute (in particular, the Author of the Report, Doctor of Economics Tatiana Bogdan; online presentation took place on the platform of the Gorshenin Institute with the support of the Internet portal LB.ua).

During the discussion, Growford Institute experts, invited scientists and experts discussed the following aspects: 1) global risks of economic financing and debt growth during the COVID-19 pandemic; 2) volatility of financial markets, threats of violation of price stability and debt stability; 3) to what extent are these problems relevant for Ukraine with a high degree of external openness of the economy, significant amounts of external debt, deficit of domestic credit and investment resources? 4) how should the Ukrainian state respond to new challenges and opportunities associated with global financial and economic changes?

The research materials are useful for use in the educational process, in particular in the course “Global Markets and Competition” and “Reasoning of Economic Decisions”.
