At the end of November 2021, students from three universities from around the world took part in a series of lectures and a seminar on “Basic concepts of EU integration”, which were held as part of a project entitled “Jean Monnet Chair of EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR, supervisor – Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration Alexander Kubatko). Students of Sumy State University of Business Administration, Chandigarh University (India), Whitefield Business School (Mauritius) a total of more than 60 people, learned that the Jean Monnet program is one of the educational programs of the European Union, which aims to increase knowledge and awareness of pupils, students and society as a whole on economic, historical, cultural and legal issues of European integration and gained knowledge of Human Resources Management in the context of EU integration policy. The events were held by representatives of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University (SSU) Ph.D. Oleksiy Honcharenko and Ph.D. Julia Chortok.
The purpose of these activities was to deepen knowledge about the EU, gain theoretical knowledge of the concepts of integration, features of public administration in the EU.
It should be noted that Ukrainian universities have been participating in the Jean Monnet program since 2001. The most popular in Ukraine among higher education institutions is the activity of Teaching and Research, which includes such forms of implementation of the Jean Monnet program as “Departments”, “Modules” and “Centers of Excellence”.
