Horizon 2020: Professor Leonid Melnyk’s participation in the meeting of the Program Committee

15.05.2019 Professor Leonid Melnyk, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration at SumDU, Director of the Institute for Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine participated in the meeting of the Program Committee of the European Commission (Brussels) “Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies”. Professor Leonid Melnyk is an expert and is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the European Union Research and Innovation Framework Program “Horizon 2020”.

The meeting of the Committee, attended by the representatives of the European countries, was dedicated to the results of Horizon 2020 Program implementation for the past two years and the prospects for the development of the EU future research and innovation program.

The Committee tackled three key research and innovation areas: migration; socio-economic and cultural transformations in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution; governance improvement for the future.

Another two representatives of Ukraine took part in the work of the Committee: V.Yu. Gryga, senior researcher of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of NAS of Ukraine and O.I. Lokshyna, Head of the Department of Comparative Pedagogics, Institute of Pedagogy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
