EU economy and economic policies

In December 2022, the course of lectures and seminars on the elective discipline “EU Economy and EU Economic Policy” for students of Sumy State University has finished. The lecturer of the course was Oleksandr Kubatko, associate professor of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration.

More than 70 students of various specialties completed the relevant educational course. For the convenience of working in conditions of war and widespread electricity blackouts an online distance course was developed so that students could complete the task at a time convenient for them. During their studies, students completed a series of tasks related to researching the potential of the domestic economy on the EU market. In particular, a series of goods and services that could be competitive on the European market were described. In addition to the traditional online resources of Sumy State University ( MIX , eLearning SumDU ) students were offered to take a course on the Edera platform. More than half of the students received relevant certificates for completing the course “Export, EU markets and internationalization of business”, the results of which were re-credited by Oleksadr Kubatko.

The course “EU economy and economic policies” was based on the results of the EU Jean Monet educational and scientific project, which is currently being carried out at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration: “Jean Monet Chair in EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP- 1-2020-1 -UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR), headed O.
