In March-April 2023, Leonid Melnyk the teacher of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (EPBA) of Sumy State University conducted a cycle of online classes for teachers and students of KhNEU on “The EU disruptive technologies practices for sustainable development in the context of Industry 4.0 and 5.0″. Leonid Melnyk is Doctor of Economic Sciences, Prof., director of the Research Institute of Development Economics of the Ministry of Education and Science and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The event was attended by students of bachelor’s and master’s programs and teachers of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.
The course explains the best EU practices for reproduction of sustainable economy system: ensuring demand and supply for sustainable goods and services, greening working places, motivate incentives and economic relations, reproduction of sustainable human (consumer, producer, designer, technologist, manager, teacher and communicator). Role of social preconditions such as European democratic institutes and values is explained. The intensive course is structured for the following units.
Unit 1. The contents and principles of sustainable development (SD). Implementation of SD in EU.
Unit 2. Preconditions components for SD ensuring: renewable resources base, sustainable economy (SE), social development, democratic institutes and values.
Unit 3. The contents of SE basic components (greener production and services, greener energy industries, IT sectors, science and education, creative economies).
Unit 4. Disruptive technologies as a ground for transition towards SD.
Unit 5. Anatomy of SE products (goods and services).
Unit 6. The best EU practices (institutes and instruments) for SE reproduction system shaping
