Students of the 4th year of the “Social Work” specialty, as part of the “Democracy: from theory to practice” course, prepared the campaign “No human trafficking” for the European Day of Combating Human Trafficking. The training course was prepared by Andriana Kostenko, Doctor of Political Sciences within the EU Jean Monnet project (Chair level): “Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic Policy and Civil Society” (619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR), which is carried out at the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University (headed by Oleksandr Kubatko).
The purpose of the campaign is to prevent the population from falling into the situation of human trafficking; dissemination of information about its development trends and the danger it represents. This threat is especially relevant during the war, when millions of Ukrainians left the country and became migrants in different countries of the world. Therefore, educational and preventive work is a necessary step to reduce victims of human trafficking. The development of an open civil society is a guarantee of long-term economic growth of the national economy.
