Department Overview

The Department was established on September 1, 1976, under the name Department of Economics, Organization, and Management of Machine-Building Production, following its separation from the Department of Machine-Building Technology.

Over the course of its development, the Department has undergone several structural and nomenclature transformations reflecting the evolution of economic science and educational priorities. In 1992, it was renamed the Department of Economics. In 2011, it was reorganized as the Department of Economics and Business Administration (Order No. 795-I dated October 14, 2011). Subsequently, in 2018, it received its current name — the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Administration (Order No. 134-I dated February 15, 2018).

The Department has been led by distinguished scholars, including O.F. Balatskyi, L.H. Melnyk, O.I. Karintseva, and currently O.V. Kubatko (since 2026).


Academic Staff

The Department maintains a strong academic profile, employing 28 faculty members, including:

  • 7 Doctors of Sciences

  • 5 Professors

  • 19 Candidates of Sciences (PhD)

  • 16 Associate Professors

In addition, the Department is supported by 4 administrative and technical staff members, ensuring the effective organization of educational and research activities.
